Coupling

The coupling has two different axis supports: square and round. However, the expanding mandrel coupling is only available with a round axis support. The elastomers are made of TPU and can be replaced if worn. In addition, the hole diameters on the motor and axis sides are also configurable. The advantages of the couplings in igus® are that they have a shore hardness of 98Sh A and they also have an extreme temperature resistance of -30°C to 120°C.
