DISCONTINUED MODEL For new designs, we recommend the improved e-chain® series E4.42 from the igus® E4.1 modular system.+25% more unsupported length, higher strength and tensile strength, same dimensions and connection dimensions Series 38 is available from stock in limited numbers. Product support and storage are limited as of 2012. For questions, please refer to your igus® contact person. Thank you for your understanding to the E4.42 series
* The required clearance height is HF = H + 40 mm (at 2 kg/m fill weight), which should be observed in all types of applications. Please contact us if you have particularly confined space requirements.
** The calculated length corresponds to the chain length without mounting brackets.

Separators can be arranged in any position in the chain cross-section. The standard separator part no. 381 offers secure standing ability with its wide base, even for large cables/hoses. Also available for the applications with e-chains® (not tubes): Locking separator part. no. 3804 with increased holding force. This separator is used in applications with very high humidity, e.g. in compost plants or in applications with extreme loads. The increased holding strength is produced by asymmetric holding claws in the chain link. For self installation, it must be ensured that the separators have the same orientation in the chain link. All separators can be moved and can be fixed can be fixed in position by spacers (not for tubes) for side-mounted applications. Note: The available inner height is reduced by 2 mm for each spacer, which can reach 4 mm with spacers attached on both sides. To prevent this, parts can also be installed from the outside onto the opening crossbar.
With the various elements of the interior separation, the e-chains® and energy tubes can be divided both vertically and horizontally. Side plates and shelves allow a flexible separation structure. Shelves of various widths can be arranged in steps of 7mm on 5 levels. You can find recommendations for assignment in the "Design" chapter. When using the open height slot separators, the top and bottom slots cannot be used for shelves. Examples of interior separation: Part no. 391 height slot separators are used for a very finely divided solution. However, these cannot be integrated into existing shelving without removingthe interior separation system The height slot separator Part No. 397, which is open on one side, can be retrofitted without removing the existing interior separation system. (Does not apply to shelves in the top or bottom slots)

"Super-aluminium" trough - the igus® standard for guide troughs
The "Super-aluminium" trough is a modular system of guide troughs for long travels (where e-chains® glide on each other). The basic "Super-aluminium" trough is available in simple, cost-effective "basic designs" and can be expanded for sophisticated plant construction. This universal usability makes it the recommended igus® standard for guide troughs.
