A KUKA robot suspended from the ceiling for the construction of aircraft components was to be equipped with various cable guidance systems on axes 1 to 7. Reliable energy and data supply was required during the articulated robot's complex rotary and pivoting movements and vertical strokes. The core of the solution today is a triflex R energy chain that flexibly follows the robot arm on axes 2 to 6. Thanks to a robust E4/4 energy chain, the system can perform lifting movements over a 5m travel and rotations at a 380° angle.
