e-spool® for theatre and stage use

The energy chain system for theatre and stage operations based on DIN EN 17206 and DGUV principle 315-390. e-spool® safely guides many different cables in the smallest of spaces. The e-spool® combines two different energy supply systems in a unique way: A tension-optimised energy chain, for safe operation in theatre and stage applications, is guided by a roller and ensures that the energy supply system is exactly the right length and tension at all times thanks to an integrated retaining spring.

In the starting position, the space-saving energy chain is fully retracted. The twisterband connects the roller to the shaft end block, which serves as an interface to the permanently installed cable.

The e-spool® now comes with various sensor monitoring functions: The spring force of the three springs included is monitored using a load cell sensor. If the force falls below this level, the user is notified to replace the spring. If the force is exceeded, there is a blockage that must be removed. The rotation sensor monitor, which counts the drum revolutions and determines the position of the chain and more.
