Implement automation projects efficiently

Automation solutions have to adapt to the individual company processes. A standard system can often, but not always, meet all requirements. These cases require special solutions that are affordable and based on uncomplicated technology. Low Cost Automation follows the approach of modular robotics, which enables customers to derive their specific solution from a modular system and put it together flexibly. In short: the technically perfect solution at the lowest price.

Your path from idea to finished component

Personal support from the very beginning
By on-site visit or video call, you will receive personal support for your automation challenge right from the start. You will also have the opportunity to test your individual application's feasibility in advance. According to the "test before you invest" principle, more than 2,000 customer-specific use cases are tested in the customer testing area in Cologne every year. Reducing robot cost doesn't help if integration is too expensive.
Project planning and quote
Has the feasibility of your application been checked? Is the technical concept in place? Then you will receive an offer with service life information, a solution outline, and a fixed-price guarantee within a few days. That's right: Up to this point, the entire service costs you nothing.

Prototype development
For more in-depth tests and preparation for possible high-volume production, you will receive a CAD model and/or prototype upon request. The service includes control software, individual electronics, and design up to the plug-and-play machine. The prototype, like all igus® robots, is developed and manufactured in Cologne. In a production area of 32,000m², igus® pools expertise across the entire vertical range of manufacture. This gives you comprehensive support quickly.
Integration into your processes
From commissioning to individual component integration to robot safety acceptance: you are not on your own at any step of your automation project. An international integrator network gives you access to experts familiar with igus® products. Each integrator brings experience in implementing end customer projects and has proven himself in cooperation. Of course, you can also perform integration yourself.

Quick start for your automation project
You are used to very fast delivery times from igus® standard kinematics. This service is also available for your individual robot. A project lasts between three and six weeks, depending on the degree of customisation.

robot project planning
We make difficult automation solutions very simple: special solutions do not have to be expensive. With more than ten years of experience in project work and more than 1,000 projects each year, we have a rich modular system that makes it very easy for us to assemble customer-specific solutions.
