e-chain® with 6.1 - crossbar swivelling open

To further emphasise its suitability for cleanrooms and increase the service life of the cable and hose, the interior of the new E6.1 has been designed to be extremely "cable-friendly". The chain links and crossbars are very smooth and rounded, as is the transition from chain link to crossbar, and all gating and marking points have been positioned outside the chain cross-section

The new E6.1 generation can achieve higher accelerations due to a weight reduction, the e-chain® is still extremely quiet and highly dynamic.

The E61.29 series was subjected to the noise test in the igus® laboratory and shows a noise level of -2 dB(A) below the already class-leading noise level of the igus® E6.29 series.

igus® for cleanrooms - suitability of E6.1 e-chain®

By using a special material, the already low abrasion of the e-chain® can be significantly reduced even further. An e-chain® can therefore also be used in many applications where complicated special solutions are required. An extensive test programme has been completed for both sliding and unsupported applications. For many applications, the e-chain® in special materials can be operated practically abrasion-free. Tests by the IPA confirm that the standard e-chain® from igus® fulfil the requirements in cleanrooms and have been "tested and found to be very good". Very high wear resistance of moving parts is required in cleanrooms, so e-chain® , for example, must be highly wear-resistant in order to fulfil the standard requirements for this sensitive environment.
